HISTORY

  • Fucinaro Excavating was founded in 1963 exclusively focusing on excavating and grading of commercial or industrial properties, and street or highway projects. 

  • The company was founded by Anthony Fucinaro who passed away in 2003.  His brother Donald joined the firm in 1970 and passed away in 2008.  

OWNERSHIP

  • Ownership and management is now made up of David and Ron Fucinaro, sons of Tony and Don Fucinaro.

  • They grew up in the business and have a combined experience with the firm of over 70 years.

  • Don's son Dan is also an integral part of the business as an operator and mechanic.

MANAGEMENT

  • All of our construction projects are managed by the owners, making each project’s success a source of pride for our business and family. 

  • We also have two full time foremen, Scott Brewer and Justin Shirley, to help manage our projects.

  • We focus on mid-sized to major construction projects in the Omaha, NE area only. 

  • We work on projects that vary in size from $5,000.00 to $5,000,000.00.

SKILLED WORK FORCE

 

  • The success of our firm is also based on the expertise and experience of our general work force of equipment operators and truck drivers. 

  • We continuously employ about 40 workers with about 350 years of combined experience.  The fact that we turn over our help much less frequently than other similar firms means that our work force has more experience and can get the job done with quality and efficiency. 

  • We develop realistic work schedules that take advantage of our strengths. Our high level of experience and conservative approach to our work allows us to work safely in all circumstances.

EQUIPMENT FLEET

  • Our equipment fleet is also instrumental to our success.  Our fleet is all company owned and is maintained by our own personnel in our own shops as well. 

  • We have available for our use 30 trucks for hauling dirt, stone, or rubble, 7 front end loaders, 6 compactors, 3 road graders, and 6 excavators, as well as small equipment for fine grading. 

TYPICAL PROJECTS
  • Fucinaro Excavating likes to focus on commercial, industrial, highway, and airport projects with significant earthwork and removals of existing pavements. 
  • We have the capability to perform large volume recycling of concrete in the Omaha area. 
  • We have large volumes of earth fill material available, and also space to dispose of excess excavated materials. 
  • We are usually a subcontractor for the large general contractors in the area.  We do a lot of repeat business for our clients.

  • We work on projects that vary in size from $5,000.00 to $5,000,000.00.

  • Recent projects include the Henry Doorly Zoo African Grasslands

  •  Offutt AFB Taxiway Mike Replacement

  •  South Omaha Wastewater Treatment Plant

  • widening of I-80 through central Omaha.

CONRECO

  • Conreco, Inc. is another Fucinaro company founded in 1992 for the purpose of receiving broken concrete and other rubble, and recycling that material into usable construction aggregates. 

  • Our full service recycle yard is conveniently located near 42nd and I-80 and helps our companies perform efficiently on a wide variety of excavating projects.
